As beautiful as they are, tulips are an esteemed symbol in Ottoman history and Turkish art. Especially in 18th century, tulips were so significant in art, culture, songs and literature that this era was called Tulip Era (Lale Devri). Unsurprisingly, tulips are also a prominent motif in prison works and we wanted to celebrate that. This necklace has been made in a collaboration with a Turkish beadwork artisan.
